A New Year's Wish
During recess one morning, I noticed one of my students crawling around in the large, grassy field beyond the playground. Curious, I walked out to check on what Parker was doing.
As I approached, he gave me a joyful grin and excitedly exclaimed, “I found it! Here it is!! It’s exactly what I was looking for - a three-leaf clover!!!!”
My wish for the coming year is to remember Parker’s example, and find pleasure and good fortune in the ordinary. May we have an abundance of three-leaf clovers, and the wisdom to appreciate them.
